Our Story
Malcolm left PriceWaterhouse and began doing tax returns out of the spare room of the family home on Dandenong Road in the early 1980’s. To this day, his clients travel from near and far to seek his counsel and guidance in not only their tax affairs but as a trusted adviser through life’s ups and downs. He has passed on the key ingredients to his longevity to his sons Nick and Justin.
Hillman Brothers Chartered Accountants has been born out of almost 20 years of experience that Nick and Justin have earned in both accounting and financial services. The aim of Hillman Brothers is to grow the legacy born out of that spare room on Dandenong Road as trusted advisers and a safe harbour for our clients.
Meet The Team
Nick Hillman
Nick is a Chartered Accountant and the practice principal. He enjoys being face to face with clients to help them with their tax returns, manage their small business and act as a connector of nodes among our network of trusted professionals and services. To this end, Nick is an advocate of holistic solutions for his clients and understands how help them navigate their way through life.
Justin Hillman
Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Qualified Justice of the Peace. His career has been shaped by experience in both running his own accounting practice and in taxation roles across the accounting industry and in government. At Hillman Brothers, he specialises in preparing Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Family Trusts, Companies and Partnerships as well as Business Activity Statements for business entities. Justin also acts a financial controller for Hillman Brothers. He is approachable, down to earth and can often be heard laughing and sharing stories with his clients. Justin believes that establishing positive working relationships with clients is the key factor in achieving optimum results.
Malcolm Hillman
Malcolm plays an active role in the behind the scenes running of Hillman Brothers as he steers the ship to remain on course for the long term. He lives and breathes our culture and ensures the founding values of the business remain at the forefront of the team’s thoughts every day with every client interaction. Malcom is an invaluable sounding board who is very generous with sharing his wisdom and experience with our team and clients.
